    Background

New & Novel AI-Enabled Services Pose Significant Security Risks

Within the research and development space (R&D), the issue is that there are a number of conflicting and overlapping IP-related claims related to patents, copyrights, patent applications, and potential patent filings.

Within the U.S. and internationally, there is a tremendous amount of confusion and lack of clarity in the areas of intellectual property (IP), intellectual property rights (IPR), Intellectual Assets (IA) and other Intangible Assets, including Hybrids, Anomalies, and Anaamalous Communications.

Research pertaining to the unauthorized use of data and copyrighted material to train an unaffiliated entity's Custom AI Bot, Agent or Tool without sufficient prior notice, authorization, and consent is a landmine of actual and potential IP infringement claims.

    Vigilant Enforcement

Despite the confusion and lack of clarity in this area, multinational corporations are known to be quite vigilant about protecting what they consider to be their intellectual property – in some cases, even when the claims are spurious and seemingly far-fetched. IP infringement detection activity as well as IPR monitoring and enforcement within certain R&D environments can be intense.

    Caution is Advised

I typically advise a high level of caution before entering into business-related discussions with what we refer to as Pure Startups. In general, this term refers to very small businesses, entities, and even solo operations usually offering access to some cutting-edge, extremely advanced technology.

Part of the reason caution is advised is because non-compliance among Pure Startups can be quite high. To avoid oneself and one's business or professional practice from becoming unnecessarily unsnarled into an IP dispute with a Significant Stakeholder, a degree of due diligence upfront, when initially on-boarding clients is highly advised, and in some jurisdictions, required.

    Non-Compliance is not Fatal

The Pure Startups I have worked with in the past typically include a very small group of super smart individuals with a brilliant idea but with a difficult to understand business plan and a hard to grasp financial model. Some have adopted business models we refer to as “flying under the radar,” referring to the practice of offering services in a non-compliant manner, and hoping not to get caught. At some point in their journey, however, these cutting-edge inventors typically want (or need) to become compliant.

Nearly 100% of the Pure Startups we have worked with in the past have sought out Our services after already engaging in some form of telecommunications without a license. In the past, that is where Our main practice has come in – advising Pure Startups regarding how to become compliant, even after a period of non-compliance.

    Mutual Benefit

Admittedly, Our interest in their success is somewhat self-serving – from our perspective their cutting-edge inventions could potentially help us to fulfill our objective to engage in further research regarding what we refer to as Bridge Technology, which is described more fully below.

    Bridge Technology

Research pertaining to Bridge Technology would include a consideration of the infrastructure and protocols required to be in place to support R&D pertaining to legal, ethical, and compliant communications using non-traditional communication methods. In general, this type of research is being pursued under the banner of Quantum Information Technology.

    Legalities & Revenue

We are setting up a process such that any person contributing to this research will be paid for their work. We have identified a platform to process payments. However, it will take a couple of days for me to complete a legal review of their Terms of Service. In the meantime, if you could please prepare a proposal outlining your payment expectations and availability, that would be great.
